Do I need an account to look for a berth?
No. The map, the marinas and the prices are open to everyone. You need an account to book or pay.
How is a stay priced?
By the hour, at the rate the marina sets for that buoy, shown on the map and on the buoy's page. A short grace period may be free. Bookings made ahead can be cheaper if you pay in full or leave a deposit.
What do the colours on the map mean?
A marina's point goes from green (many buoys free) to red (nearly full). Grey means its buoys aren't reporting right now. On a single buoy: green is free, red is taken, amber is reserved, grey is offline.
What does "Reserved" mean?
Someone has booked that buoy for the current time. A buoy booked only for later still shows as free until its booking begins.
How do I cancel a booking, and what does it cost?
Open the booking and press Cancel — you see the exact amount before you confirm. Before the free-cancellation time you get everything back; after it, the marina keeps the share it has set.
What happens if I don't arrive?
The buoy is held for your whole window. Then the booking is settled as a no-show: a prepayment or deposit is kept, and a card guarantee is charged the marina's no-show fee.
When does my stay start and end?
When you moor and when you leave — the buoy senses the boat. You don't need to check in or out in the app.
How do I pay?
By card through Stripe, in the app or on the website. We never see or store your card number.
When do I get a refund, and how long does it take?
Refunds go back to the card you paid with as soon as a booking is cancelled; your bank usually shows them within 5–10 days.
A buoy shows "Offline". Can I still moor?
Ask the marina. An offline buoy can't confirm your stay automatically, so it can't be booked online until it reports again.
I run a marina. How do I join?
Create an owner account, add your marina and claim your buoys from their labels. Connect Stripe in Settings to start taking payments. Write to support@emooring.eu if you'd like a demo.
