Terms of use

Last updated 2026-10-11

Draft — this text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and may change.

1. Who we are

These terms govern your use of the eMooring website and app (the "Service"), provided by [eMooring d.o.o.], [Street 1, 00000 City, Country], [Registration no. 00000000] ("eMooring", "we"). By using the Service you accept them.

2. What the Service does

eMooring lets boaters find, book and pay for mooring buoys operated by marinas ("Marinas"), and lets Marinas manage their buoys and bookings. The mooring itself is provided by the Marina; eMooring provides the platform and processes payments on the Marina's behalf.

3. Accounts

You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Marina owner accounts are activated once the buoy purchase is confirmed.

4. Bookings and stays

A booking reserves a specific buoy for the window you choose, on the terms shown before you confirm: price, payment option, free-cancellation time, late-cancellation share and no-show fee. These terms are set by the Marina and stay fixed for that booking.

A stay starts when the buoy senses your boat and ends when you leave. Time outside a booked window is charged at the buoy's hourly rate.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe directly on the Marina's own Stripe account. eMooring receives a platform fee of 8% of each charge. Prices are shown in the buoy's currency and include taxes where the Marina is required to charge them.

6. Cancellations, releases and no-shows

You may cancel free of charge until the free-cancellation time. Later cancellations, releasing a booking after its window has begun, and not arriving are settled as described on the booking. A Marina that cancels your booking refunds you in full.

7. Your obligations on the water

You remain responsible for your vessel, its safe mooring and compliance with the Marina's rules and local maritime law. Do not tamper with buoys or their electronics.

8. Availability

We work to keep the Service available and occupancy data accurate, but buoys depend on radio and cellular links and can be offline. A berth shown as free is not guaranteed until it is booked and confirmed.

9. Liability

[To be completed with legal counsel: limitation of liability, exclusion of indirect losses, liability of the Marina for the berth itself, mandatory consumer rights.]

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one published here. [Governing law and jurisdiction — to be completed.] Questions: support@emooring.eu.
