eMooring puts smart mooring buoys online. Each buoy senses when a boat is moored to it, so the map always shows which berths are free, and a stay is paid by the hour from your phone.
For boaters: find a berth
Open the map. Each coloured point is a marina; the number on it is how many buoys are free right now. Green means plenty of room, red means nearly full.
Search for a place, a marina or coordinates ("39.55, 2.60" as Google Maps copies them). The list beside the map shows the nearest marinas first; tap one to see its buoys and the wind there.
For boaters: book ahead
Open a buoy and pick your arrival and departure on the calendar — drag across the hours you want. Choose how to pay from what the marina offers: pay in full now for the biggest discount, pay a deposit for a smaller one, or just leave a card as a guarantee and pay on departure.
Before you confirm you see exactly what each option costs and until when you can cancel for free.
For boaters: cancel or release
Until the free-cancellation time shown on your booking you get everything back. After that the marina keeps the late-cancellation share it has set. Once your window has started you can still release the buoy if your plans change; it is then settled as a no-show.
Every cancel button shows what you would pay before you confirm.
For boaters: arriving
In the eMooring app, "Find my buoy" makes your buoy blink green and can light a corridor of buoys to guide you in. Your stay starts by itself the moment you moor — the buoy senses the boat. When you leave, it ends and is charged for the time used, at the rate shown.
For marina owners: get started
Add your marina (paste its coordinates from Google Maps — country and time zone fill in by themselves). Then add your buoys: claim each one with the number and code on its label and place it in the marina. Placed buoys receive the marina's settings and Wi-Fi on their next check-in.
For marina owners: run it
Set the hourly rate per buoy, your booking terms (which payment options you offer, discounts, deposit, free-cancellation window, late-cancellation and no-show fees) and device settings for the whole marina or a single buoy.
Connect your Stripe account in Settings: payments go straight to it, and eMooring keeps its 8% platform fee. Alerts tell you about unpaid departures, low batteries, buoys offline and anything unusual. Admin tokens let your staff work on a buoy on site over Bluetooth.
The switch at the top takes you between managing your marina and seeing it as a customer would.
